There is Nothing Morally Wrong with Having Anonymous Partners.

There is nothing morally wrong with having anonymous partners. Many of us can have multiple partners without any consequences. In fact many gay men will have more sexual contacts  in one year then their  straight counterparts  will have in a life time.

Most of us can have multiple partners without any consequences. Many gay men will have more sexual partners in one year then their  straight counterparts will have in a life time. Many gay men have met their long term partners in bookstores, bath houses, parks, restrooms and online sex sites.  Many of us of  had no other choice than to frequent these places to meet other gay men.

What makes a gay sex addiction different than a straight sex addiction?

Gay men have much more access to anonymous partners.  It is acceptable within our community.  Most gay men do not have to pay for sex.  Gay men hook up.  Most straight men never get beyond their computer.

Now With Access to Phone Apps, hunting for new sex partners has become easier, it truly is a click away.  Unfortunately though, it has led to a more addictive type of behavior.  It has taken internet hook-ups to a whole new level.

Some gay men will be able to go to these sites and never have a problem.  Other
gay men find themselves spending hours going from site to site to find a man, they
may boast about having sex with thousands of men; they find themselves
spending hours online looking for hookups or looking at porn; they keep secrets
and cheat on their partners.  They may lose sexual interest, because the images
online are much more exciting.  If this person is you, you may want help right
now!

What makes me the right Therapist?  I have been sober for 20 years.

I suffered from compulsive sexual behavior for over 25 years.  I had multiple experiences in bookstores, bathrooms, parks and bathhouses.  I cheated on all my partners, watched 1000’s of hours of pornography, experienced phone sex and cybersex.  I hooked up with other men anywhere and everywhere that I could.  I spent countless hours fantasizing about sex, spent almost all my free time “on the hunt.”
