    Working with families is a great privilege. When a family is committed
    enough to come in to therapy together, they have already accomplished half
    the work.

    The willingness to work with a therapist already shows an incredible
    commitment. Often the decision to do therapy will center around one family
    member who is having problems.

    Working as a family helps identify the issues that everyone is having and
    allows each individual to express thoughts and feelings that may have been
    unspoken for a lifetime.

    It is amazing what is not discussed in a family. Most of the times the "rules
    of engagement" do not allow open communication.

    Coming into a therapist's office will immediately change the level of
    communication. The chance of an individual solving personal problems is
    much higher when there is the support of a family.

    Family therapy can include many combinations of meetings. Sometimes it
    will be the whole family, and often it will just the siblings or just the parents.

    The more the family is willing to come in, the more success we will have. We
    may include grandparents, spouses of the siblings and sometimes even
    close friends.

    The results of family therapy can be miraculous.
