A little about my upbringing, childhood, and personal life
where I attended public school. Mom did not work outside the home. Dad was an entrepreneur, and worked very long hours and we rarely saw him. My childhood was rough, to say the least. I remember being very sensitive to feelings from about age four. After two years of college I decided to work in the travel industry. Here I found friends and success. I became the top manager in the country for my company (American Express) and moved to New York with my partner. At age 39, I enrolled in college again to pursue a career in counseling. I am constantly working on self-improvement. I currently live with my partner who has children from a previous marriage.

I believe that the client already has the answers to her or his problems. I am merely the guide to finding these answers. feelings, I share nervousness that usually exists in a first session. This includes encouraging both of us to share our thoughts and feelings about sitting together for the first time, as we start an important intimate relationship. I always follow the client's lead, welcoming whatever way the conversation flows. My priority is to develop trust and create a safe environment of compassion and acceptance. People come in and talk to me about things they never reveal to others.
